(Relating to Clause (c) of Sub-rule (2) of Rule 10)
Required qualifications for class “C” construction entrepreneur
1. Financial capacity:
It has to be registered with the Department of Industries as a private or public limited company or partnership firm with the running capital of a minimum of ten million rupees.
2. Work experience: It has to have satisfactorily completed four different public construction works valued at a minimum of One million rupees each or various such works valued at a total of Four million rupees after having concluded an agreement on its own. Provided that, nothing in this clause shall be deemed to prevent the classifying of a company having at least one civil engineer with at least Five years of experiences in public construction works or Two civil overseers having passed certificate level in that subject or a company with an engineer or overseer or equivalent being its shareholder or promoter, having experiences in construction works valued at Ten million rupees in last Five years as the class “C” construction entrepreneur.
3. Description of key Human resource:
There should be a provision to avail the whole time service of one technician having passed graduation level in civil engineering and Two technicians having passed certificate level in that subject, two persons having passed graduation level in any subject, Three persons having passed certificate level in any subject and One person having passed graduation level in commerce.
4. Machine and equipment:

e. At least one item out of the following equipment:
i. Loader
ii. Bitumen distributor/sprayer
iii. Water tanker/sprayer
iv. Motor grader
v. Three wheel roller

vii. Pneumatic roller
viii. Bitumen paver
ix. Asphalt mix plant
x. Crane
xi. Fork lift
xii. Crusher
xiii. Compactor
xiv. Vibrating roller
xv. Hydraulic auger
xvi. Benz
xvii. Building host
Note bee:
1. While submitting an inventory of equipment, ownership certificate of equipment and insurance document thereof shall be submitted.
2. It has to be certified by a mechanical engineer who has possessed educational qualifications of at least graduation in mechanical engineer and obtained membership of Nepal Engineers Association that the above-mentioned machines and equipment are in proper condition.
3. The above-mentioned machines and equipment shall not be sold and disposed of until at least Two yeas from the date of their registration.
4. Any machines and equipment which are more than Fifteen years old shall not be recognized for purposes of enhancing the standard of, and new registration of, the construction entrepreneur.
